Vanessa Karlewicz is the owner and head trainer at MiraBella.  Vanessa is a well-rounded horse-person having worked with numerous hunter / jumper trainers including an Olympian.  She also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Centenary College with a degree in Equine Science.  She brings her experience and expertise to each lesson and training session.

Vanessa has a wealth of show experience and has had numerous wins at HITS, WEF and Sussex to name a few.  She enjoys creating challenging lessons for her riders and seeing them succeed.  She also enjoys matching riders with their perfect equine partner.

She has a special passion for bringing along young sport horses and finding solutions for training issues.  Because of this passion, Vanessa and her family created KSB Sport Horses.  She carefully chooses stallions and mares to create ideal sport horses to better the industry.  KSB youngsters are already successfully competing and are available for your consideration.

Alexa Prisco - Assistant Trainer

Alexa is a freshman attending SUNY Orange.  Prior to moving to NY in 2013 she trained in barrel racing in NJ.  Shortly after moving, she found her new equine home, The Stables at MiraBella and has been riding there since.

She has competed in various hunter/jumper divisions as well as a member of a quadrille in Dressage.  Her riding and her results improved over the years but when she met “Snowbody’s Business” a match was made both in her riding and her heart!  She is a current member of the WHVPHA and USEF/USHJA.

Last year she was the Captain of the Mirabella IEA team and was presented with a sportsmanship award and placed third in the Zone Regional Finals.  This year she qualified for the PHA Nationals where she placed third in Jumpers and fourth in Equitation.

She plans on pursuing her education and ultimately a career as a special education teacher along with certifying in hippotherapy.
